Become Master Builer and Conqueror in the Medieval Age.

RAMPART combines the best of strategy puzzle games with dynamite action and destruction. Programmed by the same game dsigners who created such superhits as Cyberball, 720° and Paperboy, RAMPART allows up to three players at a time to travel back in time to the Middle Ages. There, they build fortifications and position cannons – as powerful lords and barons once did.

Then, it's on with the battle, ans each side hurls its projectiles to destroy enemy walls. Once the onslaught ends, the players must quickly rebuild and extend their walls before the next battle. The action is lightning fast. The strategy is exhilarating. The thrill of head-to-head competition is so intense, RAMPART's long-term play appeal promises to be record breaking!

Trivia
Neben den Atari- und Tengen-Umsetzungen wurde das Spiel auch auf Atari ST, Commodore 64, Amiga, NES, Game Boy, MS-DOS und Super Nintendo portiert, in späteren Jahren auch auf Game Boy Color und PlayStation 3.

Daneben ist es in einigen Spielesammlungen enthalten, darunter Midway Arcade Origins, Midway Arcade Treasures und Midway Arcade Treasures Extended Play.
